Amos

At about two years old, Amos has already been through more than any dog should have to experience. He was abandoned by his owners and left without food or water. Despite his difficult start, Amos has remained a happy and loving boy.

Cody is a special boy whose journey has been one of incredible progress. When he first came to us, he was abandoned, extremely skittish, and so frightened of people that he had to be trapped. We suspect he may have experienced abuse in his past, although we don't know exactly what happened to him.
With patience, kindness, and lots of understanding, Cody has made progress by leaps and bounds. The scared boy who once didn't trust people has discovered that humans can be kind — and now he is playful and loves attention from the people he trusts.
Cody is still an extremely shy and cautious boy, so he will need a patient adopter who understands that trust doesn't happen overnight. He tends to feel more comfortable with women and remains very unsure around men. His new family will need to give him the time and space he needs to build confidence at his own pace.

Ready to Adopt?
This is the process for adoption: Fill out an application and wait for follow up questions and approval. We can schedule a FaceTime call to meet the dog or meet in person (we will provide videos when available). Our dog listings are here on our website, Adopt a Pet, and Petfinder.
Please note: It is so important for adopters to realize that a rescue dog needs time to adjust to a new environment and new animals in their lives. Patience and love are essential.
